SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce will lead a 10-city tour from August to December to gather feedback from the crypto community as part of SEC's new outreach initiative. The agency is particularly interested in meeting startups that are under 2 years old and have fewer than 10 employees.
The trip takes place against the backdrop of the Trump administration pushing for the U.S. to become a global crypto hub. Recently, Trump signed the GENIUS Act on stablecoins, while the CLARITY Act is awaiting Senate approval. Other agencies like the Fed and OCC are also easing regulations on the crypto industry.
