On August 17, according to Crowdfund Insider, Thailand will launch a new program on Monday that allows foreign tourists to exchange crypto assets for Thai Baht for payments, aiming to revitalize the tourism industry after a decline in visitor numbers. This program, named "TouristDigiPay," will be announced at a press conference hosted by Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira, with officials from the Ministry of Finance, the SEC, the AML office, and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports in attendance. The Thai SEC has completed a public consultation on using digital assets to support economic and tourism growth, with the feedback period ending on August 13.
