Starknet: stake will be launched on the testnet in September and on the Mainnet in October
Odaily Planet Daily News Starknet officials stated on the X platform: "Staking on Starknet is a milestone for our network. Staking involves locking users' STRK Tokens in the Starknet staking contract to receive rewards proportional to the stake. Users can participate as stakers (requiring running a full Node) or as delegators (able to delegate STRK Tokens to stakers). Staking is an important milestone for Starknet as it enhances the network's security, decentralization, and efficiency. It incentivizes participation and aligns economic interests, ensuring a strong and democratically governed ecosystem. While not all effects may be immediate, step by step, Starknet is getting closer to its vision of decentralization. It's worth noting that Starknet is the only L2 that has announced and implemented staking so far. The current goal is to launch the first phase of staking: online in the testnet in September; online in the Mainnet in October.
