Jinshi Data, December 13 News, according to the Korean National Assembly's information system, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yet submitted a motion to the National Assembly on the 12th approving the appointment of a chief justice, stating that 'with the end of the term of the chief justice, I request the approval of the National Assembly to appoint a successor chief justice.' After rejecting the request to end the term early in a speech to the nation on the 12th, Yoon Suk-yet subsequently approved 42 bills, implementing regulations, etc., and submitted a motion to approve the appointment of a chief justice, continuing to exercise the powers of the president. According to the South Korean Constitution, the chief justice should be nominated by the Chief Justice of the Korean Supreme Court (High Court) and appointed by the president with the approval of the National Assembly.
