The U.S. Department of Justice withdraws its intention to investigate Dragonfly Capital.
According to Golden Finance reports, The Block reported that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) officially stated in court on July 30 that it would no longer investigate Dragonfly's early investment in the encryption mixer Tornado Cash. Dragonfly co-founder Haseeb Qureshi confirmed that previous media reports about the DOJ planning to sue Dragonfly were inaccurate, and that the company and its management were not under investigation. Previously, the DOJ had indicated last Friday that it was considering suing Dragonfly for its investment in Tornado Cash in 2020. Currently, Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm still faces related conspiracy and sanction violation charges.
