Tether is launching its tokenized gold digital asset in Thailand and listing it on the local crypto assets exchange Maxbit. In an announcement on May 13, Tether stated that its gold-backed token Tether Gold (XAUt) has been listed on the Thai exchange Maxbit.
Tether Gold was launched in January 2020 and is a digital asset backed by gold, with a market capitalization of $802 million, where each XAUt represents ownership of one troy ounce of gold.
