Chromia launches incentive testing program to prepare for Mainnet release

Chromia is an innovative Layer-1 relational blockchain platform that utilizes a modular framework to provide various services for users and developers, including dedicated dApp chains, customizable fee structures, and enhanced digital assets. The platform supports natively queryable real-time data indexing, fundamentally changing the way on-chain information is organized, greatly simplifying the end-user experience, and paving the way for new Web3 business models.

Chromia's horizontal scalability enables it to handle parallel tasks, effectively supporting high-performance gaming dApps. For example, the platform's flagship game, "My Neighbour Alice," offers an immersive experience where players can build land, interact with neighbors, complete daily tasks, and earn rewards in a virtual world. It can be said that Chromia's modular framework and relational blockchain technology have the potential to completely change the way decentralized applications are developed and used.

Recently, Chromia announced the official launch of its incentive test program, which is an important step before the Mainnet release. Participants can earn rewards by contributing to network security, while also interacting with the official Chromia wallet (Chromia Vault) using the testnet CHR tokens on networks supported by Chromia.

The incentive scale of this plan reaches 250,000 CHR tokens, including three independent sub-projects, each with its own network to run the candidate version of the Chromia Mainnet. The specific projects are as follows:

1. HackNet (ongoing until June 28)

HackNet is targeted at programmers and advanced users, aiming to discover extreme situations in a sandboxed network and review the Chromia codebase. The program offers rewards of up to 100,000 CHR, and the collected feedback will be used for Mainnet preparation.

The goal of HackNet is to encourage technical users to stress test the core software of Chromia and detect edge cases. While anyone can submit reports, the guidance provided by the program is limited and is mainly suitable for those with technical knowledge who can directly read code or interact with the blockchain.

HackNet will conclude on June 28 to align with the completion of the third-party audit, allowing the Chromia team to evaluate feedback and determine the final Mainnet launch schedule.

2. ProjectNet (continues until July 26)

ProjectNet is designed for developers and will serve as the hosting network for the Demo Dapp competition. Chromia will award a total of 50,000 CHR to the top three submissions.

ProjectNet aims to encourage developers to learn Rell and build applications on the Chromia blockchain. The Demo Dapp competition is open to developers with coding experience in Web2 and Web3 applications, but does not require experience in using Rell.

Participants can submit various forms of applications, including original creations, works inspired by existing applications, or direct adaptations of existing applications. The application submission deadline is July 26, allowing participants ample time to improve their Rell skills and implement their builds. Winners will be selected by a six-member team from Chromia, with the top three works sharing a prize pool of 50,000 CHR.

3. QuestNet (June 18 to August 30)

QuestNet aims to encourage both new and existing community members to explore Chromia and dApp-related features, facilitating interaction with core network functionalities such as Chromia Vault and specific decentralized applications.

The QuestNet plan is set to launch on June 18, initially including some beginner tasks, and will gradually expand over the following weeks. The prize pool for this plan is 100,000 CHR tokens, and rewards will be distributed through a series of lottery events after the plan concludes. To prevent bot behavior, the eligibility criteria for the lottery will not be disclosed in advance, but generally speaking, completing all available tasks, regularly checking the dashboard, and following Chromia's social media updates are potential ways to maximize rewards.

Key Points

  1. HackNet will continue until June 28, designed specifically for developers and other tech-savvy users.
  2. ProjectNet will continue until July 26, designed specifically for developers.
  3. QuestNet will run from June 18 to August 30, targeting everyday users, and rewards will be determined and distributed after the program ends.

Chromia co-founder Alex Mizrahi stated that they are excited to invite users to explore the innovative Chromia platform through the incentive testing program. This is not only an opportunity to showcase Chromia technology before the Mainnet launch but also allows the community to make a positive contribution to shaping the future of the Chromia ecosystem.
