Arbitrum's long-term ecological incentive plan of 45.815 million ARB brings new opportunities for project development.
Arbitrum Long-Term Incentive Pilot Program Approved, 45.815 Million ARB Will Be Invested in Ecological Development
Recently, the Arbitrum ecosystem has welcomed significant developments. The voting on the proposal for the long-term incentive pilot program has concluded, with the final decision to allocate 45.815 million ARB for ecosystem incentives, of which 45 million is for project incentives and 815,000 is for subsidizing personnel involved in the work. This decision received a support rate of 57.49%, far exceeding other options.
The previously launched Short-Term Incentive Program (STIP) is considered a success. Data shows that the participating projects achieved significant growth in metrics such as user activity, total locked value, and trading volume. For example, in the case of decentralized exchanges, daily active users increased by 118.72%, total locked value rose by 49.24%, and trading volume surged by 333.28%.
The new pilot program has made several improvements based on STIP. First, the incentive mechanism will be more flexible, encouraging projects to explore diverse incentive schemes. Second, roles for a committee and application advisors have been introduced to improve the efficiency of evaluation and feedback. The committee will conduct a preliminary screening of the applying projects to ensure that only high-quality projects enter the voting stage. Application advisors will provide detailed guidance to applicants, helping them refine their proposals.
Projects applying for the pilot program will go through five phases: application period (2 weeks), feedback period (2 weeks), selection period (1 week), voting period (1 week), and incentive period (12 weeks). During the incentive period, approved projects will receive ARB allocations every two weeks through the Hedgey platform.
In addition to project incentives, the proposal also allocates extra rewards for members participating in the work. This includes roles such as committee members, application advisors, researchers, and data analysis providers. Notably, a research bounty of 200,000 ARB has been established to encourage community members to conduct in-depth analyses of the incentive program, providing references for future decisions.
Although the voting on Snapshot has passed, the final fund distribution still needs to be confirmed through on-chain voting on Tally. The Arbitrum community will closely monitor the specific distribution plan of 45 million ARB, hoping that this incentive program can bring new development opportunities to the ecosystem.
