Ripple's boss made a bold statement: if XRP doesn't reach $1000, global banks will have to kneel and beg us!
Jake Claver, director of the Digital Rise Group, stated: XRP will reach 1000 next year (currently 400 times), serving as the "real-time liquidity bridge" for global finance. 1000 is the minimum entry threshold for banks!
Why do banks require $1000?
The current price of XRP is $2. Is it used by banks for cross-border transfers? The cost is high and the efficiency is low, making it not worthwhile at all. Claver calculated: the global daily cross-border payment is $1 trillion, and with XRP as an intermediate currency, a price of $1000 would require $10 billion in reserves for banks to be willing to use it. Low unit price? Transaction cards are worthless, and banks won't even look at them!
Ripple's ambition: to control the financial "underlying code"
Acquiring exchanges, clearing, and custodial services across the entire chain; collaborating with over 300 institutions (including Japan's SBI, Santander, etc.), aiming for 1,000 by 2025; XRP must become the financial "underlying protocol," and banks must use its standard transactions.
Is XRP decentralized? Even more "bulk" than Bitcoin.
Criticizing XRP for being "centralized"? Claver throws out data: there are more than 150 ledger validators, Ripple only controls 7, the rest belong to banks, universities, and independent institutions. Even the SEC acknowledges its decentralization, and the regulators turn a blind eye, what’s there to be afraid of!
2026: XRP "Nuclear Explosion" Countdown?
Short term: Regulatory support (Trump), institutional entry (90% probability of XRP ETF), technical advantages (3-second settlement), aiming for $20+ is stable; long term: If it becomes a global "liquidity pool", a $1000 market cap = total of global stocks + bonds + gold. Bitcoin was once mocked as "not reaching 10,000", what about now?
The cryptocurrency world is changing: Can payment coins overthrow Bitcoin?
XRP surged to $1000, the gameplay has completely changed:
Payment coins take the upper hand, the "savings" and "contract" logic of Bitcoin/Ethereum is abolished; institutional harvesting, the era of retail investors trading in waves is over; a regulatory frenzy, various countries may introduce special regulations for "payment coins".
Summary of the bold statement: XRP at $1000 seems crazy now, but the crypto world loves to turn the "impossible" into the "possible." Ripple's strategy, institutional money, and technological advancements are all paving the way for an "explosion" of XRP. In 2026, will you dare to watch this grand performance?
