In 2024, cryptocurrency fraud reached $9.9 billion. Experts call for the establishment of an industry data sharing mechanism.

According to reports, an expert pointed out that the amount of Crypto Assets fraud in 2024 will reach 9.9 billion USD, and 90% of UK crypto applications have failed to pass AML checks. The expert suggests that the crypto industry should emulate the TradFi sector and establish a cross-industry data sharing mechanism to address the increasingly severe fraud issues.

The UK Information Commissioner's Office recently made it clear that data protection should not be a barrier to combating fraud. With the introduction of the Data Use and Access Act 2025, the UK is creating a favorable policy environment for data sharing in the crypto industry.

The coder's paradox: trusted blocks ≠ trusted data, as history shows, centralized data sharing only accelerates the underlying logic of corruption.
