Polygon founder criticizes OpenAI's open source model, calling for truly open source AI technology.

Abstract generation in progress

On August 9, Sandeep Nailwal, the founder and CEO of Polygon, criticized OpenAI in a post, stating: The OSS model recently released by OpenAI is like an open-source farce; true open source means allowing everyone to use the most advanced models, rather than a backward version. Any subpar version is just a marketing gimmick. The crypto assets industry has similar situations, where some large institutions and DAOs are playing a centralized role. Now, we can only hope for Musk, as he might be the only one to open source top models, although this may not be the most ideal from a financial perspective.
