Oasys Releases Technical Roadmap to Help Blockchain Games Address Core Challenges
Oasys Releases Technical Roadmap, Providing New Momentum for Blockchain Game Development
Oasys, as a blockchain platform focused on the gaming sector, recently released its latest technical roadmap aimed at addressing the technical challenges currently faced by blockchain games and laying the foundation for future development. This roadmap revolves around three core directions: application data availability, layer two interoperability, and ecosystem scalability.
Technical Challenges of Blockchain Games Development and Oasys's Response Strategies
Despite the continuous investment interest in the blockchain gaming sector, there are still some technical shortcomings. Oasys has proposed targeted solutions through its updated technology roadmap.
Continuity of game assets
In traditional Web2 games, the game assets acquired by players often disappear when the game is discontinued. Blockchain technology offers a potential solution to this problem, but the popularity of modular architectures has introduced new challenges. Oasys has proposed a solution to mirror game assets from the second layer network to the first layer network to ensure the permanent protection of user assets.
Interoperability of Layer 2 Networks
Oasys's second-layer network is called Verse Layer, each resembling an independent "small universe." To achieve interoperability between these "small universes," Oasys plans to introduce cross-chain bridges, adopt a universal data format, and standardize APIs, allowing users to easily transfer data and assets between different games.
Ecosystem Scalability
Building a sustainable ecosystem is an important challenge. Oasys closely collaborates with partners to provide them with the necessary tools and resources to support ecosystem development and reduce technical barriers. The launch of the Oasys Verse Development Kit (VDK) enables businesses to quickly access pre-set ecosystem components, accelerating project initiation and content development.
Short-term and Medium-term Planning of the Technical Roadmap
Oasys's technical roadmap is divided into two phases: short-term (within 1 year) and medium-term (2-3 years), to ensure that its development can keep pace with the rapid changes in the Web3 market.

Actual Progress
Oasys has made significant progress in short-term planning. In May, Oasys launched the L2 chain XPLA Verse, with several well-known gaming projects going live on the platform. Additionally, a blockchain game based on the classic Japanese manga "Captain Tsubasa" has also officially launched on the Oasys platform.
In terms of expanding the ecosystem, Oasys has reached a partnership with Japan's SBI Group to enhance its influence in the Japanese crypto gaming and NFT market. At the same time, Oasys has also partnered with Metabora SG, the Web3 gaming division of South Korean internet giant Kakao, to support its entry into the Japanese market.
Through these technological innovations and strategic collaborations, Oasys is gradually realizing its vision of establishing a global standard for blockchain games, creating value for players and developers while bringing new experiences and opportunities to the gaming industry.
